Ultrasound Guided Pain Blocks

This workshop will demonstrate the common block techniques that are practiced in chronic pain management, using ultrasound for imaging rather than fluoroscopy. A short lecture will be followed by demonstration of ultrasound scanning by the facilitator on a volunteer, which will be projected onto a screen for all participants to view. The following blocks will be shown:
1. Head and Neck region
2. Thoracolumbar spine including facet joint and medial branch block
3. Pelvic & Sacral region
If time permits, the audience will be given an opportunity to ask questions & request for demonstration of ultrasound scanning of specific blocks of interest to them. |
